Big Money on the Line at Albany Saratoga for CNYMS

In a joint announcement coming out of CVRA and CNYMS meetings this past week, Bruce Richards and Mike Emhof agreed to put the spark into this weeks A-Verdi Storage Containers / Central New York Mini Sprint 2008 tour events. Due to scheduling conflicts the teams will not return to Devilís Bowl for 2008, so on Friday night July 25th at the famed Albany Saratoga Speedway an unprecedented purse of over $4000.00 with $1250.00 going to the winner and a cool $100.00 bill just to start will be up for grabs. Double Championship points will be awarded for the Friday show at Albany Saratoga as well.

Drivers who made the attempt at Devilís Bowl will have their entry fees held over for this show. Those that entered the pits should save their pit entry ticket stubs as they will be honored at this Albany-Saratoga race.

On top of the big bucks, there will be several bonus programs available to all mini sprint teams that make the haul into Albany. Additionally, teams owning 750 cc machines will reap big reward from Dave Haskell, of Haskell Motorsports as he has stepped up to offer a minimum bonus of $50 just to attempt to qualify with a 750 mini sprint. On top of that Mike Emhof has instituted the 750 finish bonus of $50, $30, & $20 for the top three 750 machines crossing the line.

To add to the excitement of that busy weekend, CNYMS will join with the ASCS Patriots for some high flying winged sprint action on the high banked exciting 3/8 miler at the Cayuga County Fair Speedway on Sunday, July 27th at the A-Verdi Containers sponsored night of racing.

CNYMS management is pleased to announce additional bonuses for the drivers who complete their weekend at the Home of DIRT. If the winner of Fridayís CVRA Albany-Saratoga A-Main can repeat on Sunday he will earn an extra $200 bonus. That is not the only bonus being put forth by CNYMS management and sponsors. The drivers who race on Friday but come up short for the checkered flag will get a second chance at a weekend bonus. The driver most improving their finish over Friday will get a $200 bonus.

As a reminder to all the teams who came to race the June 29th event, your wristbands from that night will be honored at this July 27th event

With the rainy racing season dampening the schedule of the A-Verdi Storage Containers / CNYMS tour and dirt racing in general, hopefully we will have a nice turn out of teams for this weekend from some of the other tracks that are running the Mini Sprint cars.
